Product roundup: Fall 2021

Winter may be around the corner… but these features are hotting up (sorry). In all seriousness, our product team have been working hard on some of the biggest new releases since Blink began.

Without further ado, here are the top features we’re releasing this fall.

We hope you love them as much as we do.

1. User Status

Introducing our most-requested feature EVER. On holiday? Temporarily unavailable? Similar to the ‘Out of Office’ feature on email, User Status informs your colleagues you’re away, when you’ll be back and who to contact in your absence.

Your status in Blink will show when:

  • You’re away
  • You’re in ‘Do-Not-Disturb’ mode
  • You’re snoozing

Find out how to set your status here.

2. Hub Launch Page

Transform your team’s desktop Hub experience! This update lets you set up a default ‘launch’ page that will open automatically whenever someone opens Blink.

The page content can be anything you want it to but here are some ideas we love:

  • Reminding the team of your company values
  • Promoting an upcoming event
  • Recapping a recent CEO update

3. Protected Content

For (certain) eyes only: segment your communications as deeply as you need. Protecting content restricts it from everyone bar its intended audience. Users will be asked to confirm their identity using biometric authentication such as their fingerprint, a facial recognition scan or another secure form of mobile authentication.

Find out how to set up and access protected content here.

4. Bulk User Update

No user sync? No problem. This feature lets you make internal changes en-masse for up to 5,000 users at once. You can do things like:

  • Adding line managers
  • Moving people in and out of teams
  • Updating job titles

As well saving you a ton of time, bulk update reduces the margin for error. Whether you’re correcting import typos or onboarding new starters, your life as an admin just became 100x easier.

5. Single Sign-On & App marketplace

We’ve restructured the Admin navigation to introduce Blink Identity and group the features that will sit under it. Part of this is our brand spanking new app marketplace.

  • A new-look layout which is slicker and more responsive
  • A consolidated overview of every Single Sign-On integration we’ve set up for your organization
