Blink has been shortlisted as a finalist in The Employer of the Year category at the prestigious Lloyds Bank British Business Excellence Awards.
In selecting Blink as a finalist, the judging panel evaluated how employees are engaged in Blink’s company values and how human resources have been optimized to achieve and sustain commercial operations. They also judged based on investment in people, initiatives to create a more collaborative culture, and the impact this has had on commercial performance.
Sean Nolan, Founder and CEO of Blink, commented on the nomination:
“Our mission is to value, respect, and support frontline workers through the access that the Blink app provides: with our product so people-centric, it’s integral to us that our business is just the same. We’ve invested extensively in our culture and people to that end, from new initiatives in Diversity and Inclusion and Learning and Development to programs to help our teams manage upwards and practise allyship. We have ambitious plans on this roadmap, and are excited to see how we can become an even better place to work.”
Sarah Austin, Founder & Director of the British Business Excellence Awards, commented on the announcement:
“Everyone involved with the British Business Excellence Awards is delighted by the sheer calibre of competition amongst the finalists this year. Each and every finalist should feel proud and accomplished at what is already a fantastic and commendable accomplishment.
“The British Business Excellence Awards prides itself on being the UK’s premier celebration of business, recognizing resilience, innovation and all-round brilliance. The setting for the ceremony is truly show stopping, taking place at the fabulous Grosvenor Hotel in London. The entire team is brimming with anticipation and excitement for what will be the business event of the year.”
The shortlisting comes as Blink’s People team recently welcomed its first Vice President of People, Simon White, to its leadership team. The winners of the British Business Excellence Awards will be announced at a ceremony on November 8th at the Grosvenor House Hotel, London.
